Science Sunday #8 - Indigo Synthesis + Shibori Tie Dye (w/Creative Arts)

Indigo Synthesis (02/09/25) + Shibori Tie Dye (02/16/25)

A class introducing the chemistry of dyes and pigments was presented. Indigo was then synthesized from using the Baeyer-Drewson method from 2-nitrobenzaldehyde and acetone. Then a Creative Arts committee class on Shibori Tie Dye was taught using the dye we made.
