Section titled “Other discussions”- After discussing the torch situation with Thermal Dynamics, it was determined it’s not feasible to have common consumables or torch heads, even with 3rd party heads, between the particular model of hypertherm we have and the thermal dynamics unit. Since members are more vested in consumables for the existing hypertherm on the CNC, and to put the 105A unit on the machine requires purchasing a new head for the hypertherm anyway, we decided to just keep the 105A unit as a standalone and will procure a hand torch for it. This will allow us to return the Miller unit that is still on loan.
