Organization of the group

Hi guys,
The time is upon us to formalize the organization of the group.
Until now, the only organization was a loose group of "coordinators"we picked back in March or June.
Most decisions have been made by people stepping up and volunteeringto take charge. This is what other hackerspaces call a "Do-ocracy".
We will have things we'd like to decide in a larger group fashion, andI think voting is the way to do it.
Is there any issue with requiring a simple majority of the paying members?

To help with this, I've updated the ToDo list in the wiki with a roughoutline of the steps we need to go through to reach full independence asa 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation.

I suspect we still need to tweak this list a little as it's based on thesteps the DPRG went through some years ago. We followed the guidelinesin the Nolo Press book on non-profit laws with a pub date of 1996. TheIRS and State of TX have changed a few things since then. I'll grab thelatest 2009 edition of the book and do some updates next week but thisgives you at a least a rough idea of where we're going.
It looks like a lot of work but if it's done methodically and correctly,it really doesn't take that long. Jump through all the right hoops atthe right times and it's not too bad.
